Description:
Set upon a rigid cardboard foundation, this artwork is intricately moulded from plasticine. While the sky and background elements maintain a relatively flat dimension, the foreground comes alive with a boy and his Furret sculpted in relief. This contrast offers the piece a captivating three-dimensionality.
A Little Story:
This picture was made for a boy who was born and raised in South Africa, Cape Town. The picture features two personal aspects.
(1) Table Mountain is a recognisable mountain from his childhood.
(2) The boy is also a fan of Pokémon series, with his favourite pokemon being Furret.
