Encased within a fine wooden frame, this artistry unfolds on a robust cardboard canvas. Crafted meticulously from plasticine, the artwork presents a tactile allure.
A Little Story:
Influenced by the mesmerising shots of Rob Howarth Photography, one particular image captivated me in an unexplainable way. The allure was undeniable, and it sparked a question: "Could I recreate this using plasticine?" The challenge lay in replicating the image and adding depth to it. The ballerina had to stand out, breaking the canvas's confines. With various techniques at play, her feet remain grounded on the canvas while her tutu, crafted with delicate plasticine threads, billows out in two layers. Her hands venture out further than the skirt and her head. This gives the illusion of the ballerina gracefully bowing, transcending the mere flatness of the canvas, bringing my vision to triumphant life.
